Mumbai is
known as the city of dreams that never sleeps. Mention of this largest film
city is incomplete without its culinary culture and street food. People from
all social strata/ classes taste street food without differentiating in gender,
ethnicity, and religion. Street food is relatively inexpensive as compared to
foods in a restaurant and is available round the clock.

There are
numerous street food to quench your thirst according to Sandeep Singh Madhok.
First of all, we have cutting chai that’s piping hot with the taste of ginger

Patties is another famous snack for Mumbai walas.
Sabudana
vada with fresh coriander chutney with cutting chai is a haven for food lovers.
It's crispy and is sold during Navratra festivals in large quantity. Kanda Bhaji is an onion fried dish in a batter of gram flour with chutney. It’s a mix
of soft and crisp taste and is in high demand during rains.
Ragda patties are also another popular street food. Ragda is prepared by soaking peas
overnight and booked. They are mashed and fried with onions, tomatoes, and
spices to make delightful curry. Patties are laced with this to prepare the
dish. Dabeli is a popular snack food made by mixing boiled potatoes with
Dabeli (Gujarati masala) and sandwiching it between buns.
Kulfi is a
type of ice cream, Gola is a type of Ice-Cone and Chaos in beer bottles are
among the desserts and coolants found on Mumbai streets. In addition to snacks,
Mumbai has several juices, Ice-cream Lassi and milkshake bars. Fresh sugar cane juice vendors are present on Mumbai roads with their trolleys around the city.

also keep cycling around the city. Paan, a Betel leaf is eaten as a popular
mouth freshener sold at Delhi roadside stalls. Street food has also made its
way into kitchens and restaurants.

popular street food. Coconuts, cashew nuts, peanuts, and oil are famous
ingredients used in cooking traditional dishes.
There is a
restaurant called Amchi Mumbai that serves delectable food of Mumbai. Dabbawallahs system in Mumbai is a century old and the lunch boxes are
delivered to various places without any computerized system.
